Grand Casino Resort is a premier hospitality and entertainment destination in central Oklahoma. Known for gaming, luxury accommodations, dining, and live entertainment, the resort serves guests seeking more than a casino floor experience.

When the marketing team began evaluating their digital presence, they knew their website needed to better reflect the elevated, resort-forward experience they offer in person.

Grand Casino Resort’s previous website had served its purpose for years, but it no longer reflected the brand’s evolution.

The site felt outdated and visually heavy, with dark backgrounds that leaned into the traditional casino aesthetic. While the resort’s brand colors include gold and black, the overall digital experience felt dim and dated rather than refined and welcoming.

Beyond aesthetics, there were practical improvements to address:
Hotel booking was not prominently integrated into the homepage experience.
The backend needed modernization.
Accessibility standards required formal validation.
The brand wanted to shift perception—from “casino” to full-scale luxury resort destination.

Most importantly, the marketing team expressed a clear vision:
They wanted a sleek, uncluttered aesthetic that captured the idea that Grand is “more than just a game,” leaning into the luxury resort feel.

The challenge was to create a high-end website that is clear and easy to navigate.

At the start of the project, we worked with Grand Casino Resort to establish clear objectives:

  • Create a sleek, modern, and uncluttered website design
  • Shift brand perception toward a luxury resort experience
  • Integrate hotel booking functionality directly on the homepage
  • Ensure the site met WCAG AA accessibility standards at launch

With Grand Casino Resort’s website, we set out to refine and elevate what already existed. Graybill Codeworks approached the project with a focus on clarity, accessibility, and performance, ensuring the new site would feel sleek and resort-forward while remaining highly functional and easy to manage.

The process followed a structured, three-phase approach designed to balance strategy, execution, and seamless delivery.

This project marked an especially meaningful milestone for Graybill Codeworks.

The initial connection came through a conversation at The Gathering, which led to an introduction to the casino’s marketing team. The partnership grew from there.

For founder Sara Graybill, this project carried additional significance. It was her first major tribal project, representing her own tribal nation. That shared cultural connection fostered trust, alignment, and clear communication throughout the process.

Collaboration with Oakes Creative House ensured design and development remained seamlessly aligned, allowing each partner to focus on their strengths.

Outcome

The new website transformed how Grand Casino Resort presents itself online.

Qualitative Wins:

  • A lighter, more modern digital presence
  • Clear emphasis on the resort experience, not just gaming
  • Increased internal confidence in sharing the website
  • Improved accessibility validation and compliance

The site now reflects the sophistication guests experience in person, supporting bookings, promoting amenities, and reinforcing the brand’s identity as a full-scale resort destination.
